Donald Trump may have lost the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election, but he is winning financially. After experiencing a massive loss of his money when he was still a president, he is now dramatically gaining it back again.

Donald Trump reportedly lost about more than a billion of his net worth during his time in the White House and after the Capitol Hill riots. But with his new social media platform, he is back in the loop and one of the billionaires once again.

So, how much is he worth today?

What Makes Donald Trump Rich Again?

The former U.S. President is incredibly rich—nobody can deny that. Before he joined the 2016 U.S. elections, he had a net worth of $4.5 billion, per CNN.

However, that figure started to decline when he was in office. In fact, it went down to $2.1 billion in 2020.

But a year after leaving the White House, his fortune increased to $2.4 billion in 2021. What incites this growth?

According to Forbes, it is the launch of his social media company Truth Social, which tries to rival Twitter.

"Donald Trump, master of reinvention, has a new title: tech entrepreneur. It's a stretch for the 75-year-old, who doesn't even use email, preferring instead to scrawl notes in marker,” the publication’s writer Dan Alexander wrote.

“But he doesn't mind jumping into ventures in which he has little previous experience—and this gig should prove far more lucrative than the presidency. In fact, it has already boosted his net worth by $430 million,” he continued.

Donald Trump’s Other Successful Businesses

Aside from being a politician and a TV personality, Donald Trump is also known for being a good businessman. Back in the 1980s, he was one of the most famous real estate developers in New York after landing a deal with Hyatt, the said city, and Commodore Hotel.

At the time, he earned the right to renovate and rebrand the hotel into Grand Hyatt, and it was a huge success.

In 1984, he completed the construction of the 68-story Trump Tower, which serves as the Trump Organization headquarters until today.

In addition, the 45th U.S. President owns a number of successful businesses and lucrative properties. One of them is Trump Place, a luxury residential community that is 92 acres wide.

It also includes the Trump International Hotel & Tower, which features a hotel, condos, and several restaurants and shops. He also gets credit for the success of Wollman Rink, a Central Park staple.

However, after the Capitol Hills riot, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced in January 2020 that the city would terminate three contracts with the Trump Organization. It means it would stop the carousel operations in Manhattan’s Central Park, skating rinks, and a golf course in the Bronx, Yahoo! News noted.

Despite that, though, Donald Trump remains affluent, and he is now $3 billion rich.
