Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness found a new way to lord the screens just after being toppled down by Top Gun: Maverick as the highest grossing movie of the year. The Marvel movie sets in with a new viewership record on Disney Plus garnering 2.1 million households watching the movie within the first five days of its release.
In a statistical report released by SambaTV, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness now sits as the most watched movie within the first five days of its release on Disney Plus. This record used to belong to another Marvel movie, Eternals, with 2 million household views until the Doctor Strange sequel broke it.
This record broken by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is only confined within Disney Plus, though. Other movies on the list were released on a different platform such as the highest viewed film within 5 days of its release, Red Notice, which came out via Netflix. Overall, the Marvel movie sits at the tenth spot.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness follows the titular sorcerer who met a being that would forever change the course of everything he knows as America Chavez, a kid who punches star-shaped portals through the multiverse, arrives on Earth and is followed by monsters who wanted to take away her powers.
Benedict Cumberbatch reprises his role as Doctor Strange and he would be joined by Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/ Scarlet Witch, Benedict Wong as Wong, Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, and Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer. Sam Raimi sits on the director’s chair.
