Disney's Mulan Gets New Character Posters

Despite the Coronavirus Outbreak causing multiple delays in China, Disney is still planning to push forward with the release of Mulan. Promotions continue for the film, and we just got a new batch of character posters which not only give us a good look at Mulan, but the supporting cast as well.

Check them out:

Though we've gotten a good look at Mulan from the movie, I think this is the best we've seen of her antagonists played by Gong Li and Jason Scott Lee. I'm still kind of irked that they didn't have Mulan facing off against one man, but I'm willing to give this movie a chance when it comes to changing the story.

As for side characters, Donnie Yen is said to be playing a general who takes an interest in training Mulan, and Yoson An is a fellow soldier who initially antagonizes her, but will eventually warm up to her. Jet Li is playing the Emperor too, but in an interesting twist, he will also be performing some of his own fight scenes.

While some are still angered at the changes this movie is making, I think it's important to take note that the original is still pretty great. Hopefully the internet will be more merciful when it comes to their comments, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

To save her ailing father from serving in the Imperial Army, a fearless young woman disguises herself as a man to battle northern invaders in China.

Catch Disney's Mulan when it hits theaters March 25.
