Disney+ Will Reportedly Launch This November

Now that Disney owns so many properties, it was only a matter of time before they decided to compete with Netflix. The popular company recently announced Disney+, a streaming service that will be home to all of Disney's properties, along with a number of exclusive shows and movies. We knew that it would be out later this year but a new report may have given us a better release window.

According to The Wall Street Journal, we could be getting Disney+ this November. While no exact date in the month has been given, this is the biggest revelation regarding the service's release date thus far. While things can always change, November is a pretty solid date to come out in, especially if shows like The Mandalorian will be ready by then.

The report suggests that software developers at the company have been asked to "dial back other projects to make sure the service can handle millions of subscribers when it launches." So Disney is planning on this streaming service being an instant hit. If Disney+ is, in fact, cheaper than Netflix, this will likely be the case.

With the entirety of the Disney vault likely coming to the streaming service, it seems like there will be a lot of interest here. With a cheaper price, this could be the next major streaming service, though it won't be toppling Netflix right away.

Will Disney+ actually come out this year? We'll have to wait and see.
