Disney Removes a Marvel Movie from Its New Release Schedule

It looks like Disney has decided to remove one Marvel movie from its 2022 release schedule.

In the light of the novel coronavirus outbreak, Walt Disney Studios has decided to rearrange its release schedule. Posting on its website, the House of Mouse revealed the updated timeline of release for its films. While all eyes are on upcoming titles like Black Widow, Mulan, The New Mutants, and The Eternals, it's easy to miss out on the fact that Disney has removed a Marvel movie set for February 2022.

According to a report by ComicBook.com, Disney's new release calendar no longer accounts for the untitled Marvel Studios film project set for February 18, 2022. The film has been removed entirely from the slate and the spot has been given to Thor: Love and Thunder.

While this might sound a little bit alarming, we can't be sure whether or not Disney decided to cancel the film. Perhaps the film is being set back to an even later release, perhaps for Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We'll probably learn more about this mystery project once the dust settles around the COVID-19 pandemic.

The spread of the novel coronavirus has had such a major impact on the entertainment industry. It's forced organizers to cancel major events. The virus has forced studios to shut down the production of highly anticipated film and television projects. It has delayed the release of major blockbuster movies. We can only hope that the pandemic slows down and comes to an end before the start of summer.
