Hold your wallets tight as Disney+ recently announced that there will be a price increase for the subscription rates to the streaming platform where you can watch various titles of Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and National Geographic.

Disney+ is a streaming platform that holds various shows such as The Mandalorian, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, Secrets of the Whales, among many others. Shows that can be found on Disney+ are more often than not exclusive to the streaming service and therefore, the only way to catch these shows.

Disney+ recently announced that they would be raising their subscription rates for the first time since their launch in November 2019.

The price increase will be effective on Friday, March 26, 2021.

The increase in the rates would be as follows: the monthly subscription rate of $6.99 will have a $1 increase making it $7.99, the annual subscription fee of $69.99 will have a $10 increase resulting in $79.99.

The increase will also affect the bundle of the combination of Disney+ with Hulu and ESPN Plus from the monthly rate of $12.99, it will have an additional $1 which makes the subscription costs $13.99.

The increase will be due to the number of new shows that are slated for release in the following months and the extra revenue would be helpful to Disney+ to fund the new titles and contents that are incoming.

To clarify, for those who are already subscribed and those who will be subscribing before the renewal date, the price will not be increased. This means that on or before March 25, 2021, all those already subscribed would be able to avail of the normal price. There's still time for you folks to save a few bucks if you subscribe before the renewal date.
