Disney Decides to Delay Two More Movies Amid COVID-19 Outbreak

It looks like Disney has decided to delay two more movies outside of Black Widow this week.

In the light of the fast-spreading novel coronavirus outbreak, Disney has decided to take off two more films from its release schedule this year. According to a report by ComicBook.com, Disney has decided to postpone Searchlight's upcoming film The Personal History of David Copperfield and 20th Century Studio's upcoming The Woman in the Window.

The Personal History of David Copperfield was slated to premiere on May 8. The Woman in the Window, on the other hand, was set to premiere on May 15. Now, it seems like both movies have been taken out of Disney's release calendar. The movies' new release date has yet to be announced.

These films are the latest films to be canceled/ postponed by Disney. The Mickey Mouse House just stunned fans when it decided to delay the release date of Black Widow, the very first film in the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Everyone was looking forward to Scarlett Johansson's standalone movie after seeing the sacrifice that Natasha made in Avengers: Endgame.

There's no doubt that COVID-19 has had a major effect on the media industry. Not only has the virus delayed major film releases, but it's also canceled major film and television series productions like the production for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier as well as the production of the upcoming sequels to Avatar.

Let's hope that the pandemic ends soon.

Black Widow has yet to receive an updated release date.
