Cameron Boyce was probably best known for playing Cruella De Vil's son Carlos in Disney's Descendants franchise, but news has just come out that the actor has died at the age of 20.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Boyce had died due to an ‘ongoing medical condition', and a rep for the Boyce family had said in a statement, "It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron." It was also revealed that Boyce had "passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated."

The statement continues:

"The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him… We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother."

Boyce had also starred with Adam Sandler in the movie Grown-Ups, and the comedian had also made this post on Twitter after the news that Boyce had passed:

Even Disney CEO Bob Iger had said about Boyce:

"The Walt Disney Company mourns the loss of #CameronBoyce, who was a friend to so many of us, and filled with so much talent, heart and life, and far too young to die. Our prayers go out to his family and his friends."

The loss of Boyce was definitely a huge blow to some of the fans that grew up watching him, and a lot of people are in shock that someone so young could just die out of the blue.

Rest in peace, Cameron Boyce.
