Diablo 4 Update: "Company-Wide Internal Testing is Underway"


The game franchise is thriving with new updates on Diablo 4 and the announcement of the new mobile game, Diablo Immortal. The much-anticipated sequel has been revealed back in 2019 to be under development and the company always see to it that the players waiting for it are given the latest news.

Now, it is drawing near its completion, Blizzard said that “company-wide internal testing is underway.”

On the Activision Blizzard First Quarter 2022 Financial Results, a pivotal update for Diablo 4 has been dropped where the company states, “Development on Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 is also progressing well. Company-wide internal testing of Diablo 4 is underway, and external testing of the player-versus-player mode of Overwatch 2 begins tomorrow, April 26, 2022.”

The update includes Overwatch 2 which is one of the highly-anticipated game sequels under Blizzard Entertainment. With such an update of Diablo 4, it only means that the game is nearing its release and is already far in its development. It is likely that anytime from now, a new gameplay would come out after the company-wide internal testing.

Along with the update of Diablo 4 comes another milestone for the Diablo game franchise as Blizzard Entertainment announces the release date of the mobile game, Diablo Immortal, the first-ever game in the franchise to be available on iOS and Android. The said game will also be available on PC but such would still be for beta testing. Diablo Immortal is set to arrive on June 2 and pre-registration is now open.

Diablo 4 is a role-playing game that will see Lilith, daughter of the Lord of Hatred, returning to the Sanctuary. Diablo 4 will also be more player-friendly with its open-world map and non-linear campaign wherein three of the five customizable classes have already been announced.

There is no release date yet for Diablo 4, only a confirmation that it will be coming soon. With no exact release date yet, this gives Blizzard the time to perfect the gameplay and work on the things they plan to improve for the game.

Diablo 4 is currently under development for PC, Xbox One and PS4. There is no confirmation yet whether there would be PS5 or Xbox Series X/S versions.
