Demon Slayer Season 2 Finale Confirms Nezuko as Muzan's Most Powerful Adversary

There is little doubt that Nezuko Kamado is different from the other demons we've seen on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba so far. Although she has their strengths and weaknesses, Tanjiro Kamado's sister doesn't feed her bloodlust and fights to defend humans. Interestingly, Nezuko has proven yet again that she might be powerful enough to go up against Muzan Kibutsuji after what happened in the Season 2 finale. In addition to that, Muzan himself may have confirmed that he is aware that the young demon is a major threat against him!

In Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 13, Daki remembers a conversation with Muzan where he tells her about a rogue demon who has escaped his control after she is attacked by Nezuko. She remembers that Muzan had ordered her to kill Nezuko immediately and vows to do so, only to fail as the young demon proves to be most powerful than her.

It's interesting to note that Muzan was already aware of Nezuko and that he wants her eliminated as soon as possible. Although it might just be Muzan's way of dealing with those he cannot control, it also suggests that he knows of her potential of being a powerful adversary.

Demon Slayer Season 2 proved that Nezuko's Blood Demon Art Exploding Blood can inflict major damage on demons and restrict their regeneration. However, the season finale revealed that it can also burn the demonic poison that affected Tanjiro, Inosuke Hashibira, and Tengen Uzui. Although it has not yet been proven, there is a possibility that the latter ability could effectively burn demon blood out of a human so they don't turn into a demon.

For now, Nezuko's abilities have barely been shown but there is little doubt we'll see more of it in Demon Slayer Season 3.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
