Deadpool's highly anticipated arrival to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is upon us and while many are excited to see Wade Wilson bring his brand of fun and chaos to the MCU, his impending debut in the billion-dollar franchise is also causing tremendous concern within the fandom and for good reason.
Understandably, fans of the Merc with a Mouth are worried that Disney might censor the character to fit the company's family-centric content but according to Deadpool 3 writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, that won't be an issue at all.
Speaking with DiscussingFilm, Reese shared that Marvel has been supportive of their vision for the character and their desire to keep things the way they were when Deadpool was still part of Fox's X-Men franchise.
He said: "Marvel's really given us the support to maintain the tone and the vision that we have for it. They've been very hands-off and supportive, but they've also let us do what we do. So really, it's just been fun. We're mad scientists back in the laboratory again. Deadpool is our favorite who will always be the character I think we're most associated with, and we're very grateful for being allowed to write him again. So it's a blast. It's like going back to school again after having summer off. It's pretty fun."

It's good to know that Marvel Studios, especially Kevin Feige is encouraging the project's writers to keep the elements that made Deadpool a favorite amongst fans, and let's be honest, the landscape is already changing and it's certainly time for the House of Mouse to embrace a more mature content when it comes to their MCU product.
