DCEU Fans Are Gushing Over Batman's Appearance in Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers

WARNING: This article contains some spoilers about the events of the Disney+ film Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers.

The new Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers film finally premiered on Disney+ and, in some ways, it is a spiritual successor of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? as it featured a lot of easter eggs and cameo appearances of several characters from not only the Disney properties but also characters from other studios. To the surprise of many, the film also featured a brief appearance of the DCEU version of Batman.

Earlier in the film, while Chip was walking on Hollywood Boulevard, he encountered a billboard for the movie Batman vs. E.T., a parody of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, this time around, it stars Batman and E.T. from E.T. - The Extra Terrestrial. There was also a quick glimpse of the in-universe film when we saw Chip watching it on his TV screen. The Lonely Island's Jorma Taccone provided the voice of Batman in the film.

A lot of DCEU fans expressed their reaction to Batman's surprise appearance in Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers on Twitter with most of them gushing and also in disbelief at how the film was able to pull it off given that it's obviously a non-Disney property.

Here are some of the tweets:

As you can see, there are some fans who said that the film made use of the DCEU Batman better than the actual DCEU films. One of them also pointed out that the cinematographer of Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers also worked with Zack Snyder on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which added more value to the parody that they did.

It is definitely fun to see this moment in the film since it is unexpected and also hilarious at the same time. It's also a satire and commentary on the state of Hollywood today where everything is getting a remake, reboot, or crossover. Based on the responses, it looks like Batman's quick appearance made a lot of fans smile.
