DC's League of Super-Pets Trailer Unveils New Team of Crime-Fighting Heroes

One of the many DC films that are set to be released next year is DC's League of Super-Pets, an animated film that focuses on a group of crime-fighting pets headed by Superman's dog Krypto the Superdog. The project has been in the works for years. They've also been dropping casting announcements and teasers for the past several months. Now, we finally have our first full look at the film.

Warner Bros. has released the official trailer for DC's League of Super-Pets. It features the titular Super-Pets consisting of Krypto the Superdog, Batman's dog Ace the Bat-Hound, Green Lantern's squirrel Chip, The Flash's turtle Meron, and Wonder Woman's pig PB as they try to save their owners, the Justice League, after being kidnapped by Lex Luthor. You can watch the trailer here:

As some fans have pointed out, the film looks like it has a The Secret Life of Pets feel to it and it's very clear with its design and tone that it is going to target the family audience. Based on the footage, it just looks like a fun film to watch that either DC fans or the general family audience will enjoy. Of course, it's all just a trailer so we can't have a verdict yet whether it's going to be good or not, but it has the potential to be a hit among the audience based on what they've shown.

The film has a star-studded voice cast including Dwayne Johnson (as Krypto), Kevin Hart (as Ace), Diego Luna (as Chip), Natasha Lyonne (as Merton), Vanessa Bayer (as PB), John Krasinski (as Superman), Marc Maron (as Lex Luthor), Keanu Reeves, Kate McKinnon, Jameela Jamil, Ben Schwartz, and Thomas Middleditch.

Jared Stern is writing and directing the film, sharing the duty on the former with John Whittington and the latter with Sam Levine. Johnson and Stern are also producing alongside Patricia Hicks, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia. John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, and Nicholas Stoller also serve as executive producers.
