DC's Blue Beetle Receives Exciting Trailer Update

One of the remaining DCEU films that are set to release this year is Blue Beetle, which will mark the hero's long-awaited debut on the big screen decades after he was introduced in the comics. Fans have been anticipating Xolo Maridueña's take on the character and are curious to see how he'll play into the franchise's fold.

So far, we haven't seen any trailer from the film despite being set for release in just a couple of months. The only official marketing material that they released so far is the teaser poster that features the hero's scarab. A lot of fans have been wondering when we can finally see our first look at the film.

George Lopez, who plays Jaime Reyes' uncle Rudy in the film, recently posted on Instagram a photo of him with Maridueña, Harvey Guillen, and director Angel Manuel Soto where he hyped up the movie in the caption and teased that the trailer is set to release soon.

"'THE BEETLES' SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE!! TRAILER COMING SOON AND YOU’RE GONNA LOVE IT!! STAY TUNED," the actor wrote in his caption.

While Lopez did not mention any release date or window, it is an indication that the trailer will arrive in a couple of weeks and fans will finally get to have their first look at the upcoming DC film. Several insiders on Twitter also corroborated the actor's tease and agreed that a trailer should arrive soon.

The cast also includes Susan Sarandon, Adriana Barraza, Belissa Escobedo, Bruna Marquezin, Elpidia Carrillo, Damián Alcázar, and Raoul Max Trujillo. Soto directed the film from Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer’s screenplay.

The film is also historic in many aspects since it is the first Latino-led DC project. It was also confirmed a while ago that a significant part of the film is in the Spanish language with subtitles. However, it is unknown if this will be integrated into the new DCU franchise under James Gunn and Peter Safran.
