David Harbour Hints At A Fantastic Four Role In Marvel’s Black Widow Movie

There's been a lot of buzz about David Harbour joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the past few months. Though Harbour's casting has yet to be officially announced by Marvel Studios, trade reports have been suggesting that the Stranger Things might end up making an appearance in Scarlett Johansson's upcoming Black Widow standalone movie.

Now, the Hellboy actor hints at his role in the comic book movie franchise, teasing the possibility of playing the role of one of the members of the Fantastic Four.

Harbour just recently attended the MCM Comic Con in London this month, and while speaking with fans (via Advanced Television), the actor confirmed that he'd be taking part in Marvel's Black Widow movie. Speaking with the publication, the actor expressed nothing but excitement over his role in the film, saying that "this thing is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

The statement might seem innocent enough, but overly speculative fans have been wondering whether the actor might be alluding to one particular Fantastic Four member, The Thing.

For those who aren't familiar with Marvel's First Family, the Thing was a founding member of the Fantastic Four. Starting off as the scientist Ben Grimes, The Thing is known for his rocky appearance, quick wit, and battle cry "It's clobberin' time!"

Harbour as The Thing doesn't seem entirely impossible. The Strangers Thing actor had to bulk up for his role as the Unwilling Harbinger of the Apocalypse in Hellboy. He'd make a fine Thing.

Marvel's latest film, Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in cinemas.
