Daredevil: Born Again ‘Blip Timeline’ Theory Debunked By New Evidence

The shooting of the Disney+ reboot, Daredevil: Born Again, has just commenced, and yet fans are already abuzz on newly revealed set photos spreading across social media platforms, one of which happens to be the presumed timeline of when exactly the series is taking place.

Now, why is this important? Aside from fans theorizing on how and where Daredevil: Born Again is within the MCU, fans have been holding out hope that the absence of the original Netflix cast members, Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) and Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), was just temporary.

Previously, the set photos had a display on the Church bulletin board that said: “March 15, 2020” which potentially explained when the Daredevil reboot is happening within the MCU timeline — during The Blip. This could easily explain that Karen and Foggy were most likely blipped out in the duration of the series. However, new evidence emerges, debunking The Blip timeline theory:

A photo from Google Maps Street View (via @BlindWanda on Twitter) showed that the real-life Church’s bulletin board had not been updated since March 15, 2020, seeing as the Street View’s image of the Church clearly displays that the bulletin board still had the 2020 post despite the image being taken back in August 2021.

It remains to be seen as to why the Disney+ reboot is excluding two of Matt Murdock's closest friends and comrades. Can fans still expect them to return at this rate?

While nothing has been set to stone yet, as Marvel Studios and Disney have yet to make a statement on why the original Netflix cast members were absent, it is worth mentioning Vincent D’onofrio’s (aka Kingpin actor) previous comment on where his character stands (via CinemaBlend) could help in gaining new hints and clues of when Daredevil: Born Again takes place:

“It was always established to me that it’s after the Blip and that he has lost the power that he had in Daredevil, and he wants in back… in Hawkeye, he considers that he’d lost a bit of control of his city, and he wants his city back.”

Daredevil: Born Again is expected to hit Disney+ in early 2024. Stay tuned for more updates here on EpicStream!
