Daniel Radcliffe Says He's The New Wolverine Replacing Hugh Jackman

The next possible Wolverine could be anyone since Hugh Jackman retired from the role. Interestingly, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has just confirmed that he is officially taking over as the scruffy mutant.

Radcliffe recently did one of WIRED's Autocomplete Interviews where he was required to answer the most popular searches about him on the internet. One of the questions happened to be, "Is Daniel Radcliffe the new Wolverine?" The Now You See Me 2 star didn't even bat an eyelash as he gave a straightforward response.

"There's going to be a new Wolverine movie, in which it starts off with Hugh Jackman being put into a hot wash and then when he comes out, it's me. So yes, I'm very happy to announce that here," Radcliffe said.

It's a hilarious answer that suggests Wolverine will end up shrinking in the next X-Men movie. Although it would be awesome to see this happen, it's also highly unlikely. We're certainly glad that Radcliffe has a sense of humor when it comes to strange questions.

There is little doubt that there will be a new Wolverine in the near future. After all, Disney will undoubtedly tap into the possibility of bringing back the character once the merger with 20th Century Fox is completed. Although it's still unclear if the House of Mouse will be able to convince Jackman to put his claws back on, we're sure to be seeing more mutants really soon.
