Disney reveals a few clips of the origin story of Cruella in a new promotional trailer which shows the iconic villain of 101 Dalmatians in her childhood. In the said trailer, the hauntingly fashionable words of "witness the origin of cruel" are alongside glimpses of the early life of Cruella before becoming the ruthless woman of fashion and revenge.

Featuring Tipper Seifert-Cleveland as Young Cruella, she goes through a busy corridor of what seems to be her school and it shows a bully spitting gum on her. Later on, the scenes move forward to Emma Stone's Cruella on her way to the top as she lives a life of mischief, on her way to embracing the dark and wicked side she has.

Following the story of Estella set in 1970's London, a young grifter who perseveres and determines to be a staple name in the fashion industry in the middle of the punk rock revolution, she makes herself known by walking through a social event and making sure she would be noticed with the amazing couture she was wearing that fashion legend Baroness von Hellman (Emma Thompson) could not ignore.

Cruella will be directed by I Tonya's Craig Gillespie, screenplay by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara, and story by Aline Brosh McKenna and Kelly Marcel & Steve Zissis. The designer behind the stunning costumes of Cruella will be two-time Oscar-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan.

Cruella premieres in theaters on May 28, 2021, and it will have the same-day release on Disney+ Premier Access for an additional $30 on top of the monthly subscription price.
