We may have ushered in a brand new era in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but most of us have not forgotten about the franchise's pioneers that kickstarted a global phenomenon a full decade ago. Fans have been clamoring to see Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and Scarlett — collectively known as the "Original Six Avengers" reunite in the MCU, and while it's only been three years since we last saw them together, it feels like forever to many.

As it stands, Hemsworth, Ruffalo, and Renner are the only active members of the OG6 in the franchise while Downey, Evans, and Johansson exited the franchise after Avengers: Endgame. We're not quite sure if an on-screen reunion will actually happen anytime soon but the Thor actor surely wants it to happen now more than ever.

On Twitter, the Thor: Love and Thunder star shared a viral video from Endgame's 2019 press tour featuring him, Downey, Evans, and Ruffalo singing the iconic Beatles song "Hey Jude". Chris jokingly said that he thought they have gotten rid of the video and later teased the "band" getting back together. Sadly, he seemed to have excluded Renner and Johansson from the comeback tour. Not cool, God of Thunder. Not cool. Check it out here:

Of course, with all the multiversal shenanigans going on in the MCU right now, a reunion between the OG6 just became a strong possibility but of course, we'd still rather see the Earth-616 members together. Will it ever happen? We don't know for sure.

The original Avengers movie is available to stream on Disney+.
