America is once again in the midst of a new political development that is sweeping not only the nation but the entire world and it's the overturning of Roe v. Wade after nearly 50 years. For the uninitiated, the Roe v. Wade decision, established on January 22, 1973, states that the United States Constitution upholds the right of every pregnant woman to have an abortion.

The overturning of the decades-long decision was made last May 9th and has been the subject of debate for weeks now. Even high-profile celebrities — from George Takei to Halle Berry have shared their thoughts regarding the overturning and many of them have publicly opposed the ruling.

Now, Marvel star Chris Evans is joining the debacle and it turns out, he's also not in favor of the decision to strip a woman of the right to have an abortion. Taking to his official Twitter account, the Captain America actor retweeted a thread promoting the NNAF Abortion Funds which aim to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access.

However, while Evans' tweet gained a ton of praise from fans, not everyone agrees with his stance regarding the matter. Unsurprisingly, Evans' Twitter replies were filled with mixed reactions from his followers. Check out some of the tweets below:

In other Evans news, it has long been rumored that Steve Rogers is set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe but the 41-year-old actor seems to be skeptical about it. Of course, there's a possibility that he might just be playing coy to avoid delivering spoilers and for all we know, we could see him return as Captain America sooner rather than later.

That said, Captain America 4 is currently in development.
