Charlize Theron Finally Speaks Out About Her Doctor Strange 2 and The Boys Cameo Roles

Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron is currently dominating the comic book genre thanks to her cameo appearances in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the season 3 premiere of The Boys. Both appearances were kept under wraps before they were released and now the actress has finally spoken about her two appearances that fans have been raving about for weeks.

As reported by Variety, during the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project's 15th-anniversary celebration event last Saturday, Theron discussed her involvement in the aforementioned two projects that she recently showed up in. Regarding her appearance in The Boys, she confirmed that she got involved through her friend and series executive producer Seth Rogen, who asked her to appear in the season 3 premiere.

"Seth asked me a while back, and I will lay my body over broken glass for that guy and all of his partners at Point Gray, I absolutely love them, and we look after each other," Theron said. "I love the show. I think it’s really smart."

After she shot her cameo in The Boys, the actress received a call from Marvel about appearing as Clea in the mid-credits scene of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to which she disclosed to them about her prior involvement in the hit series.

“I was very transparent, and they were just like, ‘This is great,'" she recalled. "I mean, [The Boys is] a satire. I think there’s room for everything, and it doesn’t mean anything other than people are interested in these kind of worlds right now."

It was really awesome to see Theron get involved in two different comic book projects and has different roles in each of them. Fortunately, it looks like Theron's appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is setting her up for a bigger presence in the MCU moving forward. Meanwhile, that might not be the case for The Boys since she played the Dawn of the Seven version of Stormfront and it looks like it was pretty much just going to be a fun cameo role.
