Charlie Cox Surmises We Might Rarely See Daredevil Suit Up In Born Again

Daredevil: Born Again is one of the most highly anticipated upcoming Disney+ series, and while plot details are being kept under wraps, Daredevil star Charlie Cox sprinkles some information at hand. Although even the actor has not yet received the script, Cox surmises we might be rarely seeing the Man Without Fear in his Daredevil suit.

Recently speaking with NME, Cox reiterates how unbelievable it is that his show reboot will consist of 18 episodes, as opposed to his original series on Netflix before its cancellation, which consisted of 13 episodes at most in its 3 running seasons. Alongside this, Cox shares how he imagines the show would be like if he went into it blindly. Check out his full comment below:

“I’m imagining there’s an element to it that is like the old-school procedural show.” Cox says, “Not necessarily case-of-the-week, but something where we go really deep into Matt Murdock the lawyer and get to see what his life is like.”

The Daredevil star continues on to say (theorize) that getting to know the ‘real’ Matt Murdock beyond the suit could easily mean leaning more on Matt as a lawyer than the hero in the night. To Cox, this is what could potentially reel the audiences in — when his moments of suiting up are earned.

“If that’s [Matt Murdock’s lawyer life plot] done right and he really gets his hands dirty with that world… I think there’s something quite interesting about that, to spend a lot of time in a superhero’s day-to-day life and you really earn the moments when he suits up.”

The Daredevil reboot will reportedly have a TV-MA rating, which implies containing graphic violence and gore, although recently, Cox previously said he presumes that since the reboot will be streaming on Disney+, there’s a possibility for the series to contain less gory content than its Netflix predecessor.
