Look Back will be released in Shōnen Jump+ on July 19, 2021.
Tatsuki Fujimoto was born in 1993. His most prominent works are Fire Punch and Chainsaw Man. Fujimoto has released numerous one-shots throughout the course of his career, which were published on various platforms. Many of these one-shots have gathered nominations and awards as well.
Currently, Fujimoto's most popular work is Chainsaw Man. It follows the story of a boy named Denji—who becomes a human-devil hybrid after merging with his devil-dog Pochita. With his new abilities, he gets recruited by the Public Safety Devil Hunters, where his life is surely about to become even more chaotic and deadly. The manga was awarded "Best Shōnen Manga" at the 66th Shogakukan Manga Awards.
In December 2020, it was announced that MAPPA will be handling the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man. During MAPPA's 10th-anniversary event, a new trailer was released alongside the list of the production staff. Fans certainly can't wait for the much-awaited series to be aired. Although maybe some fans are getting a little too excited—especially the Makima stans.
While we don't know what Look Back will be about just yet, we can only wonder if it's going to be just as action-packed as Fujimoto's other works.
