Chris Evans was finally given the title his fans had wanted him to receive — being named People's Sexiest Man Alive. The Captain America star beat several celebrities, including Robert Pattinson, Kendrick Lamar and even two-time Sexiest Man Alive honorees George Clooney.
Chris Evans Says His Mom Will Be Happy After He Was Named People's 2022 Sexiest Man Alive
Evans graced the magazine's cover story this week. He told People that his new title would pave him to be on "the road to the cool table which I was not at."
The Avengers star added that being named People's Sexiest Man Alive and being interviewed about it "feels like a weird form of humble bragging." He also said that it would spark good-natured ribbing from his close friends.
"Really this will just be a point of bullying," he joked. "It's ripe for harassment."
However, Evans was sure that at least one person was delighted with his new accomplishment — his mom, Lisa.
"My mom will be so happy," he told the outlet "She's proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about."
Lisa doubled down on her son's statement. She added that she wasn't surprised by the great news.
"I am not surprised at all," she told People. "Our family will be beside themselves."

Evans' fans have been expecting him to be named People's Sexiest Man Alive. There were rumors that he would receive the title last year. Unfortunately, the reports were false because the title was given to his Marvel co-star Paul Rudd.
So, many fans are delighted that finally, Evans is now among the list of gentlemen to grace the cover of People's Sexiest Man Alive issue.

Why Did Chris Evans Lose The People's Sexiest Man Alive Title Last Year?
Days before People revealed the Sexiest Man Alive in 2021, there were reports claiming that Evans got the title. However, it wasn't the case.
An unnamed source said he was supposed to grace the cover but lost due to his nude scandal. The boss allegedly decided to delay his cover for a year, which is probably why he is now on the cover.
"Chris was in discussions to take the cover last year, but it was not great timing," the insider told Page Six.
Evans accidentally shared his nude photo when he shared a screen recording of his family playing Heads Up. He didn't trim the camera roll, and it featured a black-and-white photo of a penis at the end.
