Recently, it was reported that Liv Tyler is finally making her MCU return in the upcoming film Captain America: New World Order. She will reprise the role of Betty Ross, a character that we haven't seen for 15 years since the release of The Incredible Hulk back in 2008.
Fans have been wondering about how Betty Ross will play back into the fold, especially since she's been absent for a decade and a half. Nevertheless, it is exciting that the actress was able to grace her presence in the franchise again and now we have our first look at her long-awaited return.
A lot of set photos have been emerging online for the last couple of days from the filming of Captain America: New World Order in Atlanta which gave us our preview of the movie. In one of the new photos, Tyler was spotted on the set which showed us our very first look at her appearance in the upcoming film.
The actress can be seen in a cemetery set where they are seemingly filming a funeral scene as she was wearing an all-black attire. Anthony Mackie, Xosha Roquemore, and Shira Haas were present in the set as well and also wearing funeral-appropriate attire.

It is unknown yet why the film was shooting a funeral scene and what led Betty Ross to show up during the moment. There are speculations that it could be her father Thaddeus Ross although it might be unlikely since the role was just recast with Harrison Ford now playing him.
It also remains to be seen if Tyler will appear in more scenes aside from this. However, her involvement does hint that the film will follow up some crumbs that were left by the events of The Incredible Hulk since The Leader is also expected to show up as the main villain.
The cast also includes Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, and Tim Blake Nelson. Julius Onah directs the film while Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson are writing the screenplay. Production will reportedly continue until the end of June.
