Canceled Star Wars Game Could Have Been 'Game Of The Year Contender'

There was a time when EA was working on what could have been an awesome Star Wars video game that has been cancelled. But what exactly was the title going to be about? Producer Zach Mumbach has just revealed some cool new details about Project Ragtag which he claims could have been "Star Wars Uncharted" and even a possible "Game of The Year contender."

Mumbach recently spoke to the MinnMaxShow where he shared more details about Ragtag's gameplay, which is strangely similar to a Naughty Dog title.

"[It was] this crazy AT-ST moment which was really cool," Mumbach said. "You were on foot running from it and it was trying to hunt you down but you were more agile, slipping through these alleyways, barreling through and crashing and using all the destruction of Frostbite... You would have been like 'oh that's like Star Wars Uncharted'."

The gameplay isn't the only Uncharted connection to Ragtag. Mumbach also stated that the game would have been directed by Amy Hennig who happens to be the woman behind Uncharted. With that in mind, Mumbach is convinced that Project Ragtag was destined for greatness.

"...I'm thinking, this is effing Amy Hennig, we have the chance to make the greatest Star Wars game ever made and a possible Game of the Year contender," he said.

Sadly, this is one game that we will never get to experience. Production on Project Ragtag has been discontinued but Mumbach and fans continue to hope that the project will still be revived.
