King Charles' wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles, eventually won the members of the royal family years after receiving frosty treatment. The queen consort also forged a great relationship with her stepsons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

Camilla Parker-Bowles And Prince William First Solo Meeting Revisited

Royal expert and author, Angela Levin, has an upcoming book about the new queen consort. An excerpt of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall: From Outcast to Queen Consort, was shared with The Telegraph. The biography tells Camilla's relationship with the different members of the royal family, including King Charles' sons, Prince Harry and Prince William.

According to Levine, Prince William and Prince Harry planned to throw a surprise birthday party for their father, and they knew that he would want Camilla to be there. So, they wanted to meet Camilla first before the event.

Prince William told King Charles he was coming to London on June 12, 1998. The new Prince of Wales turned up unexpectedly earlier. Camilla reportedly wanted to desire, but her aide suggested it would be a good idea for them to meet earlier, and Prince William agreed.

King Charles' second wife and eldest son talked for half an hour, and it went well. Kate Middleton's husband was reportedly "friendly", and "Camilla was sensitive enough to let the relationship progress at William's pace and not ask difficult questions."

However, when their talk was over, Camilla couldn't hide her nervousness and reportedly said, "I need a gin and tonic."

She met Prince William again for lunch soon afterwards. She also had tea with Prince Harry a few weeks later, and it went well.

When King Charles' birthday came, the new monarch was reportedly touched by his son's effort. He was happy that Camilla was invited and was given a prominent place.

Camilla Parker-Bowles' Relationship With Prince William And Prince Harry At Present

Prince William and Prince Harry supported their father's decision to marry Camilla in 2005. However, it turned out that they were not that keen on her but were just being polite.

Time eventually helped Camilla build a good relationship with Prince William. The queen consort gets on well with the new Prince and Princess of Wales. They have a good rapport, according to Levine.

An insider described Camilla's relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as a "very grown-up rapport." On the other hand, her relationship with Prince Harry developed differently.

Several sources claimed that Prince Harry had not forgiven Camilla for having an affair with his father while he was married to his mom, Princess Diana. The Duke of Sussex has continued to champion his mom and her previous works.

When the Queen announced that Camilla would be queen consort when King Charles became king, Prince Harry reportedly didn't send a message to her. He kept silent for four days and made headlines by announcing that he would continue Princess Diana's work against AIDS.

There are also speculations that Prince Harry might attack Camilla in his upcoming memoir. Meghan Markle's husband hasn't made any statement about the rumors.
