Royal fans were shocked when Queen Elizabeth used her Platinum Jubilee to state that Camilla Parker-Bowles should be given the Queen Consort title when the time comes for Prince Charles to take the throne. The "sincere wish" of Her Majesty would mean that the Duchess of Cornwall would be crowned beside the Prince of Wales.
Queen Elizabeth said:
"I would like to express my thanks to you all for your support. I remain eternally grateful for, and humbled by, the loyalty and affection that you continue to give me. And when, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes king, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me; and it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as queen consort as she continues her own loyal service.”

Camilla Parker-Bowles In Jeopardy Of Kate Middleton Overshadowing?
Most, if not all, royal followers are aware that Camilla Parker-Bowles and Kate Middleton are both in line to be Queen Consort once their husbands, Prince Charles and Prince William, ascend to the throne. The Duchess of Cornwall just saw her position confirmed recently when Queen Elizabeth expressed her "sincere wish" Camilla would be known as Queen Consort instead of Princess Consort as previously agreed.
However, Channel 5's Kate: Our Queen in Waiting narrator David Riley suggested that all eyes remained on Kate Middleton even if the public already knows Camilla Parker-Bowles is next in line. He stated:
“The position of Consort is a trusted royal role and has been carried out in the past by Queen Mary and the Queen Mother. As the next spouse of a Monarch, Camilla will also be known as Queen Consort."
The Mirror royal editor Russell Myers also said:
“It’s an interesting point that people will look to Kate before Camilla. The interest has gathered at such a pace with William and Kate that people do see them as the next custodians."

Both Camilla Parker-Bowles and Kate Middleton take pride in their charity work. The wife of Prince William works to specialize in the wellbeing of children and early years development, which is described as "her defining work" in the Royal documentary.
In 2021, Camilla Parker-Bowles became the first-ever patron of a trailblazing center that supports s*xual abuse victims. The better half of Prince Charles also became the patron of a British domestic-abuse charity called Safe Lives.
Camilla Parker-Bowles Named New Patron Of The National Theater
Meanwhile, Camilla Parker-Bowles has been appointed as the new royal patron of The National Theater. The Duchess of Cornwall has been known as a long-standing supporter of arts, literature, and theater.
As a matter of fact, Camilla Parker-Bowles and Prince Charles are regular attendees at the theatre and visit arts organizations many times over. The National Theater appears to be very happy to welcome Camilla as its new patron.
The National Theater director Rufus Norris said:
“It is a privilege to welcome The Duchess of Cornwall as the National Theater’s Royal Patron. The Duchess shares our belief that theater enriches our lives in so many ways and that everyone should have access to the arts and creativity no matter where they are in the world.”
He went on to say that:
“The Duchess has shown great support to our industry throughout the pandemic. And I look forward to working with Her Royal Highness for many years to come. I would also like to express my thanks to The Queen for Her Majesty’s long and unwavering support and service to the National Theater.”
Prior to Camilla Parker-Bowles' appointment, Meghan Markle holds the patronage of The National Theater. However, the Duchess of Sussex stepped back from her royal duties and patronages following her and Prince Harry's infamous Megxit in January 2020.
