Life & Style, in its upcoming Aug. 15, 2022 issue, reported that Brad Pitt offered an olive branch to Maddox days before the latter’s birthday. However, the former husband of Angelina Jolie would reportedly not be celebrating with him in person.

It has been claimed that Brad Pitt and Maddox have had an estranged relationship since an alleged altercation aboard a private plane in 2016 that prompted Angelina Jolie to file for divorce.

The Ad Astra actor has allegedly failed to fix their relationship despite him getting sober and desperately trying to patch things up.

Recently, Brad Pitt reportedly made one last-ditch effort to reconnect with his son as Maddox officially steps into adulthood. An unnamed source told the publication:

“Brad sent Maddox a gift for his birthday and [a] loving note hoping to finally make amends but hasn’t heard anything back yet. Not even a thank you text. It’s upsetting to Brad. He really misses his son but has seemingly hit a wall.”

Brad Pitt’s Son Pax -- Like Maddox -- Sides With Angelina Jolie

Most, if not all, fans are aware that Brad Pitt is still locked in a bitter custody battle with Angelina Jolie over their underage children – Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.

Pax, at 18, can now make his own decisions in terms of visitation, but like Maddox, he is said to be staunchly Team Angelina in their parents’ split.

“Brad is accusing Angie of brainwashing their sons into thinking he’s a terrible human being. He heard through the grapevine that she’s throwing Maddox a big 21st birthday party in Europe with his siblings and friends. It’s a real dagger in the heart for Brad that Maddox didn’t extend an olive branch and invite him even if Angelina doesn’t want him there.”
