Boruto has been a hot topic recently as the anime announced its first major hiatus. Now, the series is once again getting a lot of discussions online as new Boruto Chapter 79 spoilers have leaked online, revealing a major plot twist.

Boruto Chapter 79 Spoilers Summary
As revealed in the last chapter, Kawaki is now on the run after sealing Naruto and Hinata as well as facing Boruto.
The chapter opens with Shikamaru deploying a team of shinobi to look for Kawaki. Mitsuki also joins the search, with Boruto telling Sarada to also go as he’s concerned for Mitsuki.
We then see Eida, who manages to find Kawaki with her Senringan. Eida approaches Kawaki and tells him that she means no harm and that she’s on his side. Kawaki responds by saying how he wishes to replace Boruto.
Eida hears this and uses her full power to rewrite history. Specifically, Eida rewrites history by reversing the lives of Boruto and Kawaki up to this point.
What this means is that Kawaki is now Kawaki Uzumaki, the son of Naruto.
Meanwhile, Boruto is now an outsider and is blamed for Naruto’s “death.”
With this major twist, the chapter shows Mitsuki attacking Boruto, though it seems that Sarada may not have been affected by Eida’s power.

Boruto Trends as Fans React to the Huge Plot Twist
It’s fair to say that this chapter is one of the biggest ones yet in the series, especially as it should mean Boruto will soon be on the run.
The shocking turn of events has caused Boruto to trend on Twitter with over 50k tweets.
This is no surprise given how huge the implications are of this event moving forward.
Many fans see this as an echo of Itachi’s arc as both are essentially cast out by their village.
Fans believe that this is clearly the work of creator Masashi Kishimoto, and many have praised him for it.
Of course, you’ll still want to take these spoilers with a grain of salt as they are not 100% confirmed.
Though you won’t have to wait too long to find out what happens next, as Boruto Chapter 79 will be officially released this weekend.
