Jamie (Will Estes) and Eddie (Vanessa Ray) may continuously work together in the 29th precinct in Blue Bloods Season 13 despite being married. Thankfully, Sgt. McNichols (Stephanie Kurtzuba) has found a way for them not to be apart despite the rule that no spouses can work together in a precinct.

Showrunner Kevin Wade revealed Jamie would have a new job to fill in Blue Bloods Season 13. Aside from him, Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) may also have a new role to play.

Jamie, Eddie to Continuously Work in One Precinct in Blue Bloods Season 13

Sgt. McNichols helps Jamie and Eddie solve their problem by continuously finding another way to work together in the same precinct.

So, what is it? Wade revealed, via TVLine, that she would promote him to be the 29th precinct’s Field Information Officer.

He said,

“That means he’s not in uniform, and he’s not at the morning rollout and all that stuff, but it’s a very real job at the NYPD.”

It’s now his job to “take the usual perp who is brought in for whatever he’s brought in for and assess his potential value as a confidential informant before he’s processed out to the DA.”

Of course, the bonus is he will be at the same precinct with his wife, solidifying his lawman career, while Eddie does the same.

Bridget Moynahan Hints at What’s Next for Erin in Blue Bloods Season 13

Meanwhile, Moynahan dropped a major clue about her character’s storyline in Blue Bloods Season 13.

In the 12th season finale, fans once again saw the Reagan family gathered around the table for their weekly dinner.

There, Erin made a huge announcement.

“I didn’t just invite you for dinner just because we’re friends,” she told investigator Anthony Abetemarco (Steve Schirripa). “I invited you also because I wanted you here when I told my family I’m throwing my hat in the ring for DA.”

According to Express, it simply meant that she was working for a promotion, from being an Assistant District Attorney to District Attorney.
