Blizzard Shares Hopeful Diablo 4 Update

There is little doubt that Diablo 4 is one of the most highly anticipated video games right now. However, there haven't been any updates on the title since the trailers were dropped at BlizzardCon. Luckily, we finally have some good news from Rod Fergusson who confirmed that the team working on the game haven't been slowed down by COVID-19.

Fergusson, who recently moved to Blizzard Entertainment to oversee Diablo 4's production, shared the update during a GDC Q&A live stream (via PC Gamer). According to the video game producer, working from his own home is "going very well," and even added that "little productivity has been lost."

Fergusson also revealed that Blizzard enabled employees to take their equipment and PCs home and has even provided "allowances" to cover internet expenses. Additionally, everyone is given sufficient downtime and breaks and have even received "snack boxes" from the developer.

Needless to say, everyone working for Blizzard is motivated to do their best although they are all stuck at home. "The fact that you see Hearthstone has shipped two expansions, and World of Warcraft is about to ship an expansion," Fergusson added. "And we on Diablo continue to—it's been challenging, but the team is just moving forward. So I've been really grateful—if I was going to do it, to be able to do it with Blizzard."
