Black Panther Star Winston Duke Rocks the Diablo 2: Resurrected Live-Action Trailer

A new live-action trailer for Diablo 2: Resurrected has been released and it features Black Panther actor Winston Duke who played M'Baku in the said film. Needless to say, he rocked it. This follows a previous teaser released featuring another Marvel star Simu Liu and a lot of people are excited for the release of the remaster of the classic game despite Blizzard's ongoing legal battle.

In the trailer, Winston Duke was in a confessional for his want and need to sin saying he wants to "loot corpses and defile tombs," "perform rituals and gain immeasurable power," and for greed to be his guide. He also confessed to want to "bathe in the blood of demons." When asked why, his reason was the Second Coming.

With Diablo being resurrected, he wanted to be there and face him. And the response of the priest was, "doing evil against evil is not a sin, it's righteous." And there, he was allowed to give into his temptation. Various scenes from the remastered version of the game are shown then Duke gladly accepting the temptation.

Both forming part of "The Second Coming" campaign for Diablo 2: Resurrected directed by Daniel Sackheim, the trailers are both really gothic, with producers from the creative agency of 72andSunny Los Angeles.

In a press release from the Group Creative Director of 72andSunny Los Angeles, Tim Wolfe, he shared, "Diablo II was the game that launched the entire dark, gothic genre. It allowed us to go places you never really get to go to -- emotional, raw, dark places where we admit to our desire to bathe ourselves in the blood of our enemies. It was good fun."

Blizzard launched the remaster of the classic game despite facing a lawsuit in California over claims of sexual harassment, discrimination against women, and honing a "frat boy culture" in their company. Not only that, a class action suit was also filed against them by their shareholders for their non-disclosure of the investigation of the previous case.

Recently, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission has been revealed to be investigating Activision Blizzard on the allegations made against them in both cases and how the company handled such over the years.

Diablo 2: Resurrected launches September 23, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
