Chadwick Boseman's untimely passing left a massive void not only in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but in the entertainment industry as a whole that will never be filled. Despite that, as the old saying goes, the show must go on and Marvel Studios will continue T'Challa's legacy in the billion-dollar franchise in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The project faced several production concerns over the last two years and it turns out that director Ryan Coogler nearly abandoned the sequel after Chadwick's death. According to Coogler, the T'Challa actor's death made him doubt his filmmaking future. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the Oscar-nominated director revealed that he nearly quit not just Wakanda Forever, but the entire industry as he was coming to terms with his good friend's absence.
Coogler explains: "I was at a point when I was like, ’I’m walking away from this business,’ I didn’t know if I could make another movie period, [let alone] another Black Panther movie, because it hurt a lot. I was like, ’Man, how could I open myself up to feeling like this again?'"
He later added that it was also the late actor who made him realize that he needs to continue the project and move forward. "I was poring over a lot of our conversations that we had, towards what I realized was the end of his life. I decided that it made more sense to keep going."

You can already tell how emotionally charged Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is going to be and the franchise's official send-off to T'Challa is guaranteed to leave a lot of people crying in the cinema.
