90 Day Fiancé star Ed “Big Ed” Brown has finally found the love of his life. The 56-year-old reality television star has proposed to his young girlfriend, Elizabeth “Liz” Woods. The relationship and consequent life of the newly engaged couple will be featured in the second season of 90 Day: The Single Life.

During the first season of 90 Day: The Single Life, Ed and Liz had an up-and-down relationship, complete with sweet moments and big fights. The couple ultimately split during the second half of the first season, but fans will soon see them back together on the second season, which will premiere on Discovery+ on Friday.

Ahead of the airing of the second season, Ed said in an interview that breaking up with 29-year-old Liz made him realize how much he wanted to be with her and that she was the one he wanted to be with, for the rest of his life. Ed revealed that they had gotten back together last month, and that was when he realized that he wanted to marry her.

Ed said during an interview with PeopleTV’s Reality Check that he never thought he would get back together with Liz. He admitted that he wasn’t a good person and a good boyfriend to her, but that has apparently all changed now. Ed said he went to therapy, which helped him reach the realization.

Liz said during the interview that she also had a hard time after splitting up with Ed. She admitted that she underwent a “bad depression stage.” The couple said they got back together when Ed’s dog “Teddy” died, and Liz was the one that reached out first. After contacting Ed, the two eventually reconnected and slowly rekindled their romance.

Ed didn’t propose to Liz in a traditional way. He said they were just talking, and he asked Liz if he was her forever. When she said yes, Ed said they both ran to the nearest jewelry store, and he bought the largest diamond ring he could find.

The couple said everything was on camera, and fans will be able to find out exactly what happened when the second season of 90 Day: The Single Life returns. Ed said they kept the proposal a secret from fans so they could “enjoy the moment” together.

Ed was previously engaged to his now ex-fiance, Rosemarie Vega. Their explosive split was all documented on the show 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Ed then met Liz, who is a single mother, on the 90 Day: The Single Life. Despite their apparent age gap – Liz is actually younger than Ed’s daughter Tiffany – the two still managed to form a bond.
