Though he did have his fight with Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Infinity War, the Hulk barely appeared in the film, time and time again refusing to appear when Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) would call for his help during fights with the Black Order. Now that Avengers: Endgame is approaching its release, fans are hoping to see more of the Jade Giant, with one particular fan speculating that Hulk might end up saving everyone in the film.
Seeing how Bruce Banner has been struggling to keep control of his own body in Thor: Ragnarok, this new theory on Reddit suggests that the Science Brother might end up surrendering to the Hulk, activating the World Breaker and allowing him to save the Avengers from Thanos.
"Hulk has been nerfed in all his appearances. This would finally allow Hulk to HULK out," the theory explains. "Yeah, he's Professor Hulk in Promo art but Marvel has tons and tons of surprises in store. Plus who's to say Bruce can't come back from time travel or stone trickery or something."
It might be an exciting idea, however, it does sound like a stretch. Leaked art for Endgame has revealed an entirely different Hulk, and besides, how often are fan theories proven right anyway?
Still, we can never really tell – Marvel has been doing its best to keep Endgame's secrets to itself. Plus, he Russo brothers have big plans for the Hulk. World Breaker might be part of those plans. We'll just have to wait and see.
Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
