FX has some good news and bad news for Archer fans. Archer Season 14 will come despite not having a formal season renewal, but sadly, it will be the last and final season.
In January, the show’s star Chris Parnell revealed that Archer Season 14 was already in the works. Though FX didn’t confirm the claim, it recently released an official poster saying the new season would be the final one.
Archer Season 14, the Last and Final Season
The network has dropped the official synopsis of Archer Season 14.
“Archer and The Agency are finding their own way with Lana at the helm. Her goal is to make money while also making the world a better place, but she quickly finds out running a spy agency isn’t so cut and dry,” it reads via Variety.

Of course, H. Jon Benjamin returns as the world’s greatest spy, Sterling Archer, along with Aisha Tyler as Lana Kane, Judy Greer as Cheryl/Carol Tunt, Parnell as Cyril Figgis, Amber Nash as Pam Pooey, Adam Reed as Ray Gillette, and Lucky Yates as Algernop Krieger.
The new season will also see Natalie Dew as the new super-agent, Zara Khan.
What Happened in Archer Season 13?
The previous season featured several changes after the IIA (International Intelligence Agency) acquired The Agency after Malory’s passing.
Archer and his colleagues continued their mission while working on their new leadership as part of a larger conglomerate of spy agencies under Fabian Kingsworth’s command.
It was later revealed that Fabian used The Agency for more nefarious purposes as part of a more complex scheme that made Archer and other agents responsible for several major criminal actions.

From there, Archer and the gang looked for the IIA leader to hand him over to Interpol.
Archer assigned Lana as the new leader as The Agency again became independent.
Though no one knew Lana’s plans, Parnell teased that the show would continuously focus on spy stories, per Screen Rant.
What Will Happen in Archer Season 14?
Archer Season 14 may explore The Agency in the present day.
The team may struggle to fulfill their new positions due to the organization’s changed hierarchy and becoming an independent agency.
The previous season’s finale opened the show to explore the new status quo further. But after Parnell confirmed the latest development, Cyrill might have more “episodic adventures” with the Archer and the rest of The Agency.

Archer Season 14 will drop its two-episode premiere Wednesday, August 30, at 10/9c. New episodes will then be available to stream on Hulu the next day.
