Amber Heard has not been booted from Aquaman 2, according to the latest report. The actress, who plays Mera in the superhero flick is staying due to a crucial role related to the titular character, Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa).

Amber Heard Has Reportedly Longer Screen Time On Aquaman 2 After Johnny Depp Trial

Andy Signore of Popcorned Planet gave some updates about the development of Aquaman 2 after Johnny Depp's big victory in his defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife. He acknowledged that Depp's fans were probably celebrating after reports that Heard's scenes in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom had been deleted. He admitted that he was happy too after seeing those headlines, but he learned that those reports were not true.

"It turns out these headlines [are] not true at all. In fact, [it's the] complete opposite. They've increased her screen time," Signore said.

"Not only was she in the film still, they doubled her time. It went from seven to about 20 [or] 25 minutes of screen time."

According to the YouTuber, he "heard [the news] from a source directly, who was at the test screening of Aquaman 2 on Tuesday evening."

Since various outlets have already leaked the same report and they were saying the same thing as what his source told him, Signore decided to share his knowledge about the issue.

Why Amber Heard's Screen Time Was Increased In Aquaman 2

Unhappy with the latest report, Signore decided to spoil the film "because at this point I'm mad [and] I don't care." According to him, Heard's screen time was increased because her character Mera plays a significant role related to Jason Momoa's Arthur.

"Spoiler warning, I'm giving you fair warning! The reason why it's complicated. Apparently, the reason she's in hospital scenes in this film, sorry Warner Bros. here's your big spoiler," Signore said. "They have a baby together. Aquaman and Mera they have a baby together and the baby, apparently, plays a key role in the movie slash franchise and so it's not as easy as just removing her from scenes."

Sigmore is one of the celebrities who have supported Depp publicly during his legal battle with Amber Heard. Apparently, he is frustrated that the studio kept Heard but dropped Depp in Fantastic Beasts.

"If you hadn't done anything to Johnny, if you guys didn't remove him from Fantastic Beasts, I wouldn't be here complaining. I wouldn't even sign the petition because I believe you can separate the art from the artist and leave it up to the consumer to decide whether they want to support the film," he added.

"I don't believe in cancel culture. I don't think it's right. The reason I'm so adamant about this is — you remove Johnny and now Amber has lost her case and proven that the lies you removed Johnny for were false. You have not apologized to Johnny. And now, I need you to remove Amber as well."

In a post on Instagram in November 2021, Depp announced that Warner Bros. dropped him in Fantastic Beasts after he lost his defamation case against The Sun in the U.K.

"I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beats and I have respected and agreed to that request," he wrote.
