Angelina Jolie has a very a close relationship with all six of her children. In fact, following her divorce from Brad Pitt, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox all stayed with The Eternals star.
Amid Angelina Jolie and Pitt’s custody battle, three of the actress’s children are also on her side. Previous reports revealed that some of Jolie’s kids even wanted to go as far as to testify against their dad in court.
Angelina Jolie Monitors Her Children’s Friends, Calls Their Parents
Star, in its Nov. 29 issue, claimed that even though Jolie appears to be a fun and supportive mom, she’s very different behind closed doors. The Maleficent star has been dubbed as a helicopter mom because she meddles in her children’s personal lives.
An unnamed source claimed that things have become so bad in the Jolie household the point that the actress doesn’t allow her kids to make friends or date other people.
“Angelina has to pre-approve all their friendships and the people they hang out with and that’s just to start. Most of the time, she doesn’t let them go out on dates or even hang out with friends away from her,” the unnamed source said.
Jolie’s children have so much love for her, but even if this is the case, they can’t also help but think how overprotective the actress is.
Angelina Jolie Doesn’t Want Her Kids To Be Like Her
Growing up, the mom of six was reportedly very wild. And she also caused problems between her and her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand. According to the source, Jolie doesn’t want her children to follow in her footsteps that’s why she is monitoring their every move.
“Not only does she have to meet all their friends before they are allowed to get together with them, she also has to meet their parents. If Angelina doesn’t approve, her kids’ outings are canceled,” the unnamed source said.
During the rare times that Jolie allows her children to hang out with their peers, the actress, allegedly, verifies that adults will accompany them during their outings. She doesn’t also allow her kids to ride the car of their friends. Instead, she asks her personal driver to accompany them everywhere they go.
“Angelina has her personal security drive her kids and wait for them. It’s like they have their own version of the secret service,” the unnamed source alleged.
But even though Pitt’s ex-wife is very strict and protective of her children, she’s been blessed with wonderful kids that abide by her rules. Even if they don’t always agree with the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil actress, they still follow her orders.
Angelina Jolie Proud Of Her Kids
Jolie has always doted on her children. Last month, the actress spoke with People about her role as a mom of six.
“I am curious about all the different aspects of who they are. And I want to be there to support and develop all the different aspects of who they are. It’s being excited to figure out: who is this person you live with? To separate yourself from your desires for that person. I’m that mom that if I see your rebellious spirit, it warms me. And I think, ‘Good for you, you got fire,’” Jolie said.
Jolie also said that one of her goals is to help her children figure out who they are while allowing them to always be honest.
The actress’s recent revelations suggest that while she’s very involved in her children’s lives, she also allows them to be their own person – making new friends included.

Following her divorce from Pitt, Jolie also said that she decided to end her marriage for the sake of her children. This shows how protective she is of her kids.
While speaking with The Guardian, Jolie admitted that she was always worried about her children during her marriage to Pitt. She also said that she feared for her entire family.
Last year, Jolie also told Vogue India that she separated from the actor for the well-being of her family. The actress also said that she thinks she made the right decision.
