Andor Star Diego Luna Promises a 'Better' Second Season

The first season of Andor has been considered the best Star Wars on television to date and a lot of fans are now looking forward to the second and final season as it will lead up to the events of Rogue One as promised by the series from its conception.

While we know the endgame of the series, there are still some plot points that fans are excited to see them explore during its second season as filming is now underway. Some are also wondering if we will see more Rogue One tie-ins to make it more connected considering that it's a prequel.

Speaking with Deadline recently during the red carpet at Critics' Choice Awards, Andor star Diego Luna briefly teased the next installment of the series and claimed that they are working to make it a "better" season than the first.

"This season ends with the beginning of Rogue One, and we will know what happens then. So, we’re working really hard with the same amount of rigor, and energy, and passion. And it’s lovely to be hearing so much love about the show from audiences because that keeps us fighting to do an even better second season," he said.

It is interesting to hear that the second season might be "better" than the first, which was already well-received. This certainly sets up a higher bar and expectation for the series' sophomore run as well as excitement for fans who are waiting to see how they'll lead up to the events of Rogue One.

So far, the plot details of the second season are being kept under wraps except that it will end with tie-ins to Rogue One and they will cover the entire four years before the events of the film. Let's wait and see for more updates regarding the second season as they're still in production.
