Ana De Armas headlines Netflix's Blonde as Marilyn Monroe in the controversial film directed by Andrew Dominik which is one of the participants selected for this year's Venice Film Festival. The rawness of the emotion of the film made it a standout.

Speaking with Variety, Ana De Armas reveals what she felt during the 14-minute standing ovation that Blonde had during the film festival, “‘How many minutes is your applause?’ Why is that a thing to be considered? Why is that important? But then it feels so authentic when it happens.”

To add, De Armas hypes up the release of the film on Netflix, “It’s very nerve-racking! Because it’s literally not just a movie theater — it is everybody. The world will see it. So I am very excited — and it is time to let go.”

Blonde will follow the private life of Marilyn Monroe in fiction based on the novel of Joyce Carol Oates about the famous Hollywood icon. It's haunting to think that it will revolve around a person seen by others for what they want to see her and not for who she really is.
