Amber Heard made a new allegation against Johnny Depp in their opening statements for the libel case he filed against her.

The Aquaman star claimed that he sexually assaulted her with a bottle which reminded the netizens of a scene from the psychological thriller movie Gone Girl starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike.

Amber Heard Accused Johnny Depp Of Sexual Assault Which Twitter Users Likened To A Gone Girl Scene

Johnny Depp's libel case against Amber Heard began in Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia. In their opening statements, Heard alleged that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor sexually abused her.

The alleged incident happened in 2015 during a trip to Australia. Depp reportedly dragged Heard, tore her nightgown, punched and kicked her, then "penetrated her with a liquor bottle," according to her lawyer Elaine Bredehoft, per Reuters.

Several netizens immediately reacted on Twitter. Many of them were in disbelief and accused the actress of lying and using a scene from Gone Girl, when Pike's character, Amy, used a bottle to penetrate herself, so she could accuse Desi (Neil Patrick Harris) of raping her.

In the movie, Amy set up her husband, Nick (Ben Affleck), in her own murder. Then she fleed and planned to kill herself. But she had a change of heart and asked Desi's help, who brought her to his home. However, she also set him up using the surveillance cameras to help her make it appear as if he kidnapped and raped her before she killed him.

"People rly[sic] believing Amber Heard's stupid bottle story straight from Gone Girl. Her lawyer repeating her nonsense stories is not proof. She has been caught in lie after lie, when will you dumba--es learn?" one commented.

"So Amber Heard really did rip off the entire Gone Girl plot. If she had been assaulted with a bottle in Australia she would have been in severe pain that required medical attention. Needless to say a flight back to LA within 24 hours would be unbearable. This woman is lying," another added.

"So another story from Amber Heard taken directly from Gone Girl. I’m starting to think she is a complete psychopath. I’m so grateful he’s safe #JusticeForJohnnyDepp," another wrote.

"Amber Heard is Gone Girl! A violent, manipulative abuser. Johnny Depp deserves his life back. #JusticeForJohnnyDepp," a fourth user opined.

The netizens roasted Heard because there was no medical record or any evidence to support her abuse allegations against Depp. Meanwhile, some still chose to support Heard.

One netizen questioned why others won't believe Heard and considered her story ridiculuous just because Depp is "popular and says so."

"people refuse to support amber heard only bc she fought back to escape HIS abuse and wasn't the perfect victim, it's like yall don't wanna see women surviving, its disgusting and hypocritical," another added.

"I send all of my support to Amber Heard today. Let justice be done. Stay strong. You are a hero & model for many womans [sic]. Love you. #IStandWithAmberHeard," a different supporter tweeted.

"sending my support to @realamberheard & all survivors today. #IStandWithAmberHeard," a fourth netizen added.

Johnny Depp Called Amber Heard's Sexual Assault Allegation 'Fictitious'

Johnny Depp denied Amber Heard's sexual assault and violence allegations. His spokesperson released a statement addressing the new allegation.

"These fictitious claims were never made at the onset of Amber's allegations in 2016, and only advantageously surfaced years later once she was sued for defamation after noting in her op-ed that she was a victim of 'sexual violence,'" the spokesperson said in a statement to Complex.

"Words are key in a defamation case and conveniently, this allegation only came after that," the rep continued. "This follows a pattern of her elaborate, erroneous claims which have continued to change and evolve over time for the purpose of Hollywood shock value of which Amber has mastered and used to exploit a serious social movement."

Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez argued that Heard added the sexual assault to her list of allegations because she "panicked" when she realized the "seriousness of what she'd alleged" and couldn't back down from her notoriety as a survivor. Depp's attorney added that Heard's legal counsel would be sharing "explosive" stories to "distract" from "common sense," People reported.

"In Mr. Depp's fifty-eight years, not a single woman has ever accused him of violence, and nobody in Hollywood or the world had any reason to believe he was an abuser – until Ms. Heard publicly accused him," Vasquez said.

The libel trial is expected to last for over a month.
