After Midsommar star Will Poulter's exit from Amazon's Lord of The Rings series less than a month ago, a Game of Thrones alum will be taking his place.

According to Deadline, Robert Aramayo, who plays the young version of Ned Stark and has appeared in some episodes from the show's sixth and seventh season, is reportedly the new lead for the Amazon series. Poulter had to exit the upcoming series because of scheduling conflicts, hence, Aramayo will be playing the role of a young hero named Beldor.

Aside from Game of Thrones, Aramayo has also starred in the Harley and the Davidsons miniseries, as well as Nocturnal Animals, Eternal Beauty, and The King's Man, amongst other projects.

There's still not much known about Amazon's upcoming show, but it was previously announced that it's already renewed for a second season. The series will not be remakes of Peter Jackson's movies and is said to be set preceding the events of The Fellowship of the Ring.

Along with Aramayo, the show will also reportedly include Joseph Mawle, who played Benjen Stark in Game of Thrones, as well as Moryff Clark from His Dark Materials.

Jurrasic World: Fallen Kingdom filmmaker J.A. Bayona will be directing some episodes. Star Trek film writers J.D. Payne and Partick McKay will serve as the executive producers of the show alongside Bryan Cogman. Head of Amazon Studios Jennifer Salke revealed that they are aiming for a 2021 release for the series.
