All 5 MAJOR Cameos in The Book of Boba Fett Episode 7

While nowhere near as jam-packed with cameos as the previous episode, The Book of Boba Fett "Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor" was still filled with many surprise appearances. Some we expected, sure, but others, not so much. So let's unpack all those major cameos!

To no surprise whatsoever, the Mandalorian himself, Din Djarin, makes a return in his third episode in The Book of Boba Fett series, having basically taken all the limelight over the last two episodes (not that anyone was complaining).

In The Book of Boba Fett finale, Din Djarin joins in on the fight as he helps Boba and his people protect Mos Espa from the powerful Pyke Syndicate. And thankfully, despite taking center stage in episodes five and six, Din isn't relegated to the background here.

We see him doing all sorts, from using his jetpack to open fire on the Pykes from above, battling huge military droids, trying to penetrate their shields with his Darksaber, take on a rancor, and even reunited with a certain "Child"! This is most definitely the way...

Fans were really surprised when R2-D2 showed up in "Chapter 6: From the Desert Came a Stranger" when he greets Din Djarin who lands on the mysterious forest planet to visit Grogu and Luke Skywalker.

But everyone's favorite Astromech makes yet another appearance in "Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor", as he flies Luke Skywalker's X-Wing to Peli Motto on Tatooine to bring a certain youngling - or foundling - back into the care of a certain bounty hunter.

While we don't see him beyond that scene, it's still a pretty epic cameo nonetheless, as R2-D2 is not only the most beloved droid character, but is also part of the original line-up of iconic Star Wars characters from the original trilogy of films.

We weren't quite sure whether we were expect Grogu to show up, as the penultimate episode in The Book of Boba Fett ended on quite the cliffhanger, with Luke Skywalker presenting Grogu with a difficult choice: return to Din Djarin, or remain in Jedi training.

Well, it looks like Grogu didn't hesitate for very long unless, of course, Luke Skywalker ended up making the decision for him (either way, we're starting to think that Luke isn't the warm and friendly character fans give him credit for - Grogu is basically five years old, after all).

Nevertheless, we're glad Grogu appears to have been expelled from the brand-new Jedi school (or perhaps he's only visiting Din Djarin, before he commits to his training). And seeing him use his Force to take on giant droids and rancors was pretty epic!

Fans were in their element when Star Wars: The Clone Wars character Cad Bane made his live-action debut in "Chapter 6: From the Desert Came a Stranger". And the Duros bounty hunter made quite an impression, shooting both Cobb Vanth and his deputy.

To no surprise, the wicked, hideous gunslinger returns for the epic finale in The Book of Boba Fett series. There's a bit of a history between Cad Bane and Boba Fett, and if you've watched the hit animated show, you'll be familiar.

But if you aren't, just know that they're both bounty hunters who don't like each other. And in the finale, Boba makes it perfectly clear how he feels about Bane, and, in avenging the Tusken Raiders, kills the bounty hunter with his Tusken weapon!

Now, this is a cameo we really weren't expecting. Or were we? It's fair to say that there was some measure of ambiguity over whether Cad Bane had actually killed Cobb Vanth or not, as he only appeared to shoot him in the shoulder after their stand-off in Free Town.

However, the people of Free Town - who come to Boba's aid in the finale - do seem to confirm that Vanth is indeed dead. But, in a mid-credits scene, we see that Cobb is, well, alive and well would be an overstatement, but seemingly alive, nonetheless.

He's in the bacta tank in Boba's palace, where the Mod artist from earlier in the series is preparing to make some life-changing modifications to Vanth. We're thrilled Cobb Vanth is still alive, but the question now is, will he return for The Mandalorian Season 3?
