Ahsoka: Rosario Dawson Reacts to Reunion with Hayden Christensen

If you told me several years back that Hayden Christensen would be making his triumphant return to the Star Wars franchise 17 years after Revenge of the Sith, I never would've believed you. But I guess fate, or rather the Force truly works in mysterious and wondrous ways because not only is Christensen making his grand comeback in the standalone Obi-Wan Kenobi series along with Ewan McGregor, he's also set to be involved in the solo Ahsoka show starring Rosario Dawson.

We reported last week that the 40-year-old actor will be showing up in the series to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader. However, the specifics of his involvement were not disclosed.

To those unaware, Christensen and Dawson go way back and even co-starred in the 2003 film Shattered Glass so Ahsoka will serve as their reunion project. Following the bombshell news, the actress, who first appeared as the famed Jedi in Season 2 of The Mandalorian took to social media to express her excitement about Hayden's casting. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Dawson even made a fun Clone Wars reference, calling the characters by their nicknames "Skyguy" and "Snips".

It's worth mentioning that Ahsoka takes place within the MandoVerse timeline and that's a few years after the events of Return of the Jedi where Darth Vader dies so it'll be safe to assume that the former Sith Lord will only appear in flashback scenes as Anakin. There's also a good chance that he'll show up as a Force ghost in the series but we'll have to wait and see.

Ahsoka's release date has yet to be announced.
