Agatha: Coven of Chaos release date may have been reportedly pushed into 2025, instead of 2023, but recent major reports have been spreading the potential plot spoilers for the upcoming Agatha spinoff.
MCU fans have been hyped of Kathryn Hahn’s portrayal of Agatha Harkness in WandaVision and are highly anticipating her return in her own little spinoff, Agatha: Coven of Chaos. While we won’t be seeing Elizabeth Olsen reprising her role as the Scarlet Witch, plot details have been kept under wraps for the spinoff, as per Marvel’s rule whenever they delve into a new project.

However, in recent reports, the Agatha spinoff’s potential plot details have been leaked by a couple of news sites on Twitter. Though it is important to take these with a grain of salt, each tweet lines up with one another, as well as the casting lineup we have so far in Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Check out the tweets below:
Aubrey Plaza’s character may have been kept under wraps by Marvel, but one thing we know is that she will be playing an antagonist role. In the reports, Plaza’s character, who is rumored to be Morgan Le Fay, is one of the witches going after Billy Kaplan/Wiccan and Tommy Shepherd.
Heartstopper’s Joe Locke is rumored to be playing Billy Kaplan, who was reincarnated from the souls of Scarlet Witch’s kids in Westview, is set to be the target of Morgan Le Fay along with more witches to come and be introduced in the MCU. One of those “magic users” is likely connected to Mephisto, who is likely to be played by Sacha Baron Cohen, as recent reports suggest. Agatha’s mission is to ensure that nobody harms or gets to Billy for their own.
While nothing’s been set to stone yet, and with the potential waiting time of two years before Agatha: Coven of Chaos gets released, it is interesting how Agatha, this time, will be somewhat playing the role of the protagonist. Perhaps as a way of repenting for the sins she had done previously to Wanda and her family in Westview. This could easily be her redemption arc, but we’ll have to wait and see more updates on this story.
