Adele broke the hearts of many when she announced the postponement of her Las Vegas residency earlier this year. Appearing on The Graham Norton Show, the “Easy on Me” hitmaker broke down the reasons for the late cancelation, which included COVID-19 cases among her team and delays in the deliveries for the show.
For starters, the residency of Adele was scheduled to start on January 21 at Caesars Palace and run through July 2. However, in an emotional clip, the “Hello” songstress said she was “gutted” at having to postpone them but that it was “impossible” to finish preparing in time.
Adele then FaceTimed with fans who showed up in Las Vegas for the concert’s debut, apologizing again for the late cancelation. Despite that, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer made it clear that her Las Vegas residency would “absolutely, 100 percent” take place in 2022.
Now, new reports suggest that Adele continues to hide from her avid supporters as she is still reeling from backlash after canceling her Las Vegas residency. Keep on reading to know more details.

Is Adele Scared Of Haters After The Postponement Of Her Las Vegas Residency?
Star Magazine, in its upcoming May 23, 2022 issue, reported that Adele is afraid to show her face in public after facing criticisms after the shows were postponed at the last minute due to various problems. The “All I Ask” hitmaker was expected to grace the 2022 Met Gala, but she was a no-show on this year’s most exciting red carpet.
An unnamed source told the entertainment news publication:
“Adele didn’t think it was right to show up at such as glitzy event and risk offending her fans.”
Another tipster claimed:
“She’s deep in negotiations for her new residency. She really didn’t want to be seen after her disastrous retreat from her last residency.”
It was also claimed that Adele did not want to face any awkward questions from reporters. An informant said the idea made her nervous. The “When We Were Young” songstress, who has surprised fans by being uncharacteristically public with her new sports agent boyfriend Rich Paul, discussed her tendency to go into hiding on the Graham Norton Show in February.
Adele, at the time, said:
“I’m trying to make a conscious effort to stop being so anal with my privacy. I’m trying not to be two completely different versions of myself. It is exhausting switching on and off.”
"I tried my hardest. I really thought I would be able to pull something else together in time, and that was why it was so last-minute. I regret that I kept going with it until that late in the day, but it just wasn't ready... It just would have been a really half-arsed show, and I can't do that. People will see straight through me up on the stage, being like, 'She doesn't want to be doing this.' I've never done anything like that in my life, and I'm not going to start now."
Also, Adele said it would not have been possible to strip the show down, either. She stated:
“It’s Vegas – it can’t just be me on me f-----g guitar.”
She, however, underscored that shows would be rescheduled for later in 2022, saying:
"They're absolutely happening this year," she said, adding with a laugh, "I want a baby next year. I have plans [for] next year! They better f – ing happen this year."
Adele has yet to address the reports saying that she is afraid of dealing with her critics following the shocking postponement of her Las Vegas residency. So, devoted followers of the “Turning Tables” singer should take all these unverified reports lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
Adele And Rich Paul Head To Napa After Songstress’ Birthday
Meanwhile, Adele and Rich Paul are said to be still seeing each other after they sparked split rumors last week. Breakup reports quickly plagued the pair after the sports agent was seen in Miami with client LeBron James on her 34th birthday.
However, multiple sources told People that Adele and Rich Paul are still together. It was even claimed that “Love in the Dark” hitmaker and her boyfriend were spotted eating together at Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch in Napa Valley earlier this month.
One informant said:
"Adele is still seeing Rich. They are both very busy, though. She is working on her residency, and Rich is busy with his clients. They see each other when they can."
On the night of Adele’s birthday, Rich Paul reportedly graced the star-studded Carbone Beach party with LeBron James. To recall, the pair first sparked dating rumors when they were seen sitting on the courtside together as the Milwaukee Bucks took on the Phoenix Suns during the NBA Finals in July 2021.
