Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige fulfilled the collective wish of the Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom to see John Krasinski play Reed Richards in live-action. However, despite his brief but well-received performance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it doesn't look like the 43-year-old actor will be sticking around as the Smartest Man Alive as the studio is looking to cast a different set of actors for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.
As it stands, we still don't know which actor takes over the Mister Fantastic role from Krasinski but several high-profile names are reportedly in the running to join the Phase Six project. A who's who of actors, including Diego Luna, Ryan Reynolds, Penn Badgley, and Dev Patel are all rumored to be vying for the coveted role.
Even Star Wars actor Adam Driver was recently rumored to be eyed for the part but according to a new scoop, he's been taken out of the equation or at least wasn't considered anyway. The moderators of r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers claim that the sequel trilogy star "is not even close to being a front runner" contrary to the latest casting reports claiming that he was the studio's top choice.

Personally, I'm quite relieved that Driver has been removed from the potential casting list because while he's a fantastic actor (no pun intended) nothing about him screams Reed Richards. Many agree that he'd make a more believable Doctor Doom than Mister Fantastic but we still don't know what the people in Marvel have up in their sleeves.
Hopefully, we'll get the casting announcement soon because we've been waiting for close to three years now.
Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four reboot is slated for theatrical release on February 14, 2025.
