The new trailer focuses on the Banished, the faction Master Chief and others are up against in the campaign of Halo Infinite, and it looks like Master Chief is going to have a difficult journey ahead. The trailer, which you can watch below, features narration by Escharum, the leader of the Banished clan. Compared to the Step Inside trailer from 2020, this one looks darker as Eschaum talks about how the armor will become a tomb for Master Chief.

"Escharum, leader of the Banished, declares humanity's destruction to be imminent, starting with its heroes," the description of the trailer reads. "Master Chief faces his greatest challenge yet."

On Monday, 343 Industries and Microsoft shared more information about the Banished, referring to Escharum and the group as the "most ruthless" enemies Master Chief has had to fight.

According to the overview of Halo Infinite campaign, "The Banished have defeated UNSC forces and taken control of the mysterious Zeta Halo, threatening the survival of humankind. When all hope is lost and humanity's fate hangs in the balance, the Master Chief returns to confront the most ruthless foe he's ever faced."

"The Banished have defeated UNSC forces and taken control of the mysterious Zeta Halo, threatening the survival of humankind," an overview of the Halo Infinite campaign said. "When all hope is lost and humanity's fate hangs in the balance, the Master Chief returns to confront the most ruthless foe he's ever faced."

Master Chief has faced major threats like the Covenant and the Flood in the campaigns of previous Halo games before, but it looks like the Banished are in an entirely different level.

The community recently got their hands on Halo Infinite thanks to a series of beta tests. Developer 343 Studios hasn't announced any new information about additional beta tests yet, but players should expect more previews as we get closer to the game's December release date.

Halo Infinite is scheduled to release on December 8 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One consoles, and Windows 10 PCs.
