Episode 9 came and went so quickly. We haven't even gotten over the fact that it's been delayed for two weeks! But it's time to move on to a new phase, and we're ready for 9-1-1 Season 5, Episode 10, despite having to wait again.
But first -- It’s the fall finale. It's also a special Christmas episode.
Will the combination of these two factors pose any difficulties for writers? For a couple of reasons, we believe so. For starters, the holiday season is often associated with laughter and joy; on the other hand, a large portion of this series is focused on life-or-death situations.
9-1-1 Season 5, Episode 10 Spoilers
To begin, FOX told us that this new Episode 10 is officially titled Wrapped In Red. It appears that the upcoming episode will have more intense, dramatic, action-packed, suspenseful, and emotional sequences as a number of Christmas catastrophes occur. Christopher becomes quite emotional, among other things.
Let's get this spoiler session started with the Christmas emergency predicament. It turns out that this episode will take place on Christmas Eve, and a slew of disasters will ensue. As a result of these sad incidents, the 118 crew will undoubtedly be summoned to work overtime.
"The members of the 118 are called to a series of emergencies around Christmas Eve," according to FOX's official description of this Christmas emergencies storyline.
“The holidays are less than merry as the 118 races to the rescue on Christmas eve on the all-new fall finale of 9-1-1,” says another synopsis.
The second spoiler for this new Episode 10 tells us that Christopher will undoubtedly be consumed by his emotions in this episode, and Eddie will have to deal with some difficult situations with Christopher. We're not sure what it has to do with anything yet, but we'll find out soon enough.
Where to Watch Wrapped in Red
The fall finale episode of 9-1-1, Wrapped in Red, will air on FOX on Monday, Dec. 6 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT).
We hope that everyone can rally behind Christopher in this episode, which is mostly about the importance of family at this time of year. The concept of a chosen family is at the heart of much of what 9-1-1 performs on a daily basis. These workers rely on one another, and while the firehouse can be dangerous, it also provides an opportunity for bonding that is hard to find elsewhere.
